There’s a rather good line I heard, as the UK’s departure from the EU loomed: “The library has been burnt by those who can’t read”. It’s very much a truth of the current situation. Even as January 31st approached, there were still people - other than the easily identifiable trolls - heckling me who clearly didn’t have a clue how the EU functions, or exactly what the UK was giving up.
